Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Camp Bridgeway is about recreation, providing students with important physical and social opportunities. The ability to get outside, to run, play and interact with friends is important for children with or without disabilities.

Campers participate in a rotation of activities, including water play, sports, social-skills games, arts and crafts, special guest visitors and more.

Bridgeway Academy welcomes typically-developing students to camp as peer mentors.

Camp Bridgeway is effective because the mission and goal of camp is the same as during the academic year – to help each child reach his or her full potential by meeting his or her educational and therapeutic needs. This consistency is invaluable to the growth and development of all children, and in particular to the students at Bridgeway Academy.

Camp Bridgeway is facilitated by the teachers and therapists of Bridgeway Academy.

Weekly Camp Activities Include:

  • Music Therapy Groups
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Physical Fitness & Outdoor Play
  • Social Skills Development
  • Water Play
  • Weekly Themes
  • Special Guest Visitors
  • Daily Academic Review
